Job Summary

  • As the Corporate Accountant, you will contribute to their team by preparing financial statements, invoicing clients, and assisting with other administrative duties. Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential.

Hours

  • The Corporate Accountant is expected to work from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
    Please note that there may be a requirement to work additional hours during the busy season in the months of March and April.
    It is crucial to emphasize that this role requires physical attendance at the office; remote work is NOT an option.

Job Responsibilities

  • Our client offers a fast-paced environment with numerous opportunities to learn from different projects daily. The rolesand responsibilities of a Financial Analyst include:
  • Account collections related to company receivables.
  • Preparing personal T1’s throughout tax season.
  • Entering all bills and records related to various companies.
  • Assisting the office in any payroll and HR related issues.
  • Assisting in office management services.
  • Reviewing corporate bookkeeping files prepared by bookkeepers.
  • Working with Wealth Management to facilitate company information derived from bookkeeping files.

Competencies

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in an accounting position.
  • Experience managing accounts payable and receivable.
  • Experience working with, or exposure to, accounting and tax software such as: CaseWare, TaxCycle, and Quickbooks(Certificate).
  • Impeccable organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting regulations and practices.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with both team members and clients.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong computer literacy, including effective working skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Education Requirements

  • We are looking for candidates with a bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance. However, we are willing to accept candidates with other degrees who can demonstrate the ability to work well with the team.

Compensation

  • $40,000-$50,000 annually depending on experience.
